1. Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews.
Kate Daniels series, book 3

I read this book over the weekend and absolutely LOVED it. The pacing was great, the characters and their relationships are superbly developed and the premise for this installment was creative and fascinating. This novel is action packed with awesome fighting sequences--including some gory ones which were superbly written even if they were a little gross. The dialogue was fantastic as well. I couldn't get enough of Kate's interactions with her friends and enemies and the dialogue she had with herself in her head was really entertaining. I love the romantic and sexual tension that continues to develop between Kate and Curran. I'm just so bummed that the next Kate Daniels book doesn't come out until March 2010!

2. Primal Instincts by Jill Monroe.
For the Year of the Category Romance Reading Challenge
Meh. This was just okay.

3. Don't Bargain with the Devil by Sabrina Jefferies. (ARC)
School for Heiresses series, Book 5

A sweet, fun historical romance with a spanish influence.

4. Dingo by Charles de Lint (YA)
A fantastic story about friendship, loyalty, understanding and acceptance that incorporates Australian folklore in a supernatural kind of way. The story had a happy, yet realistic ending. I highly recommend it.
