February 2009

1. Bound by Donna Jo Napoli.
Young Adult

A Cinderella type story set in ancient China. This tale is poignant and enlightening. I highly recommend it and will be reviewing it this month for my YA Reading Challenge. It may also serve as my TBR Challenge read. ;)

2. Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione. RE-READ.
Demonica Series, Book 1

I don't often do rereads, but Pleasure Unbound is one of my favorite paranormal romances ever, so I decided to reread it before I started reading the second book, Desire Unchained, which I have an ARC for and am reading now.

3. Desire Unchained by Larissa Ione.
Demonica Series, Book 2

Another fantastic novel by Larissa Ione in the Demonica world. More demons, more conflicts, more complexity in a world whose lines between good and evil are blurred. The relationships between the three brothers, Eidolon, Shade, and Wraith are fantastically written. I'm now waiting for Passion Unleashed with bated breath!

4. Angel's Blood by Nalini Singh.
The Guild Series, Book 1

Wow. Just wow. This book blew me away in all aspects. The characters, the world building, the conflicts, the ending, EVERYTHING. Nalini Singh has mastered the art of story telling in this novel. It's simply brilliant and I cannot wait for Angel's Kiss in 2010!

5. Sex, Straight Up by Kathleen O'Reilly
Those Sexy O'Sullivans trilogy, Book 2

Another sweet and sexy romance in this trilogy. This is the story of the oldest of the brothers, Daniel O'Sullivan who lost his wife in the 9/11 tragedy that took down the World Trade Center. In Sex, Straight Up, Daniel finally moves on when he meets a quiet and understanding art appraiser named Catherine Montefiore. Daniel and Catherine have a comfortable, yet electric chemistry between them that makes for a tender, emotional love story that's also very sexy. A great read about loss and finding love again.
