January 2009

1. Stranger by Megan Hart.
Brilliantly written romance-women's fiction-erotica story about a young funeral director whose views on life, death and love mold the way she lives an emotionally and physically satisfying life with an escort service. Until she hooks up with the wrong "stranger" and learns something new about her otherwise perfect views on life, death and love. Amazing story... Megan Hart never disappoints.

2. Shaken and Stirred by Kathleen O'Reilly
Book 1 of the Those Sexy O'Sullivan's trilogy published by Harelquin Blaze.

Very fun, steamy and emotional romance between a bar owner and his best bartender whose only goal is to make it on her own. Loved it!

3. Kiss & Tell by Alison Kent.
A contemporary romance between an entertainment paparazzi type syndicate columnist who does his research under a pseudo name and a cocktail lounge singer who performs in costume to hide her true identity, while also hiding her true self from the media after a too-publicized too gossip-laden divorce to a high profile politician. Great love story. I really enjoyed it.

4. Tales of the Beedle Bard by J.K. Rowling.
I'm reading this now for my YA Reading Challenge selection. Not what I originally wanted to read in YA lit this month, but with only two days left to the month, I needed a quick read! It is a collection of Wizard Tales. Much like the classic Brother's Grimm fairy tales that a Muggle would read, but these stories are for Wizards. Very clever.
